Modern Slavery Act

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes McGill and Partners’ modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2022.

McGill and Partners’ Modern Slavery Act Statement

McGill and Partners Group Ltd, McGill and Partners Holdings Ltd, McGill and Partners Ltd and McGill and Partners Services Ltd (McGill and Partners) are committed to ensuring that individuals working for the firm and in our supply chain are not subject to behaviour or threats that may amount to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour or similar human rights abuses.

We believe that the Modern Slavery Act 2015 represented a significant step in confronting all forms of human trafficking and slavery, both in the UK and abroad. We have a strong commitment to being a responsible business and protecting individuals not only working for the firm but also individuals we encounter through our normal course of business. The firm is committed to acting ethically in all its business dealings and relationships and to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in its own business and supply chains. To date we have had no reports of modern slavery activity within our organisation nor our supply chains.

Supply chain

McGill and Partners do not enter into business with any other organisation in the UK or abroad which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour. No labour provided to the firm in the pursuance of the provision of its own services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking.

We assess the modern slavery standards of our key suppliers by reviewing their Modern Slavery Act Statements and where these are unavailable contact them to ensure compliance.
We remain focused on assessing our high risk spend areas and on raising awareness across all colleagues to ensure all products and services are sourced and supplied responsibly and ethically.

Colleague wellbeing

McGill and Partners has a clear framework of behaviours and commitments and encourages the reporting of any concerns or breaches so that they can be dealt with appropriately in accordance with our policies and procedures. This is also documented in the McGill and Partners Code.

We offer an independent and confidential whistleblowing hotline where colleagues can raise concerns confidentially and anonymously if they wish.

McGill and Partners checks that all colleagues can demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK and require all contractors to undergo an eligibility check before commencing work with the firm.
